US Democrats suspect Netanyahu of supporting Trump in the election

Representatives of the US Democratic Party suspect that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to interfere in the US election by helping the campaign of Donald Trump, the candidate of the Republican Party. This is stated in publications The Hill.

In particular, Netanyahu ignores President Joe Biden’s calls for peace talks between Israel and Hamas. On the contrary, a few weeks before the US elections, he intensified the confrontation with the Hezbollah group and Iran, effectively making any peace talks impossible. Such an escalation in the Middle East gives Trump the opportunity to claim that the world has “gone out of control” during the Biden presidency.

In addition, there is a growing number of Muslim Americans who do not support Biden’s policies, which could negatively affect the ratings of Vice President Kamala Harris, who is running for the Democrats. The most recent poll of 500 Arab voters, conducted in September, showed Trump and Harris nearly tied, with Trump leading by a slight margin of 42% to 41%. This shows a significant drop in support for the current administration compared to 2020, when Joe Biden received 59% of the Arab vote.

At the same time, Netanyahu’s relations with even the most pro-Israel Democrats are becoming increasingly strained. A senior official from the Democratic Senate staff noted that Netanyahu has long had a reputation as a politician who actively interferes in American politics.

According to representatives of the Democratic Party, Netanyahu’s actions, such as the introduction of Israeli troops into southern Lebanon, are deliberate interference in the internal affairs of the United States.
