The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, held a meeting in Kyiv with the UN delegation, which was led by Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher and UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi. About this Zelenskyi reported у Telegram.

He noted that before the meeting, representatives of the delegation visited the southern regions of Ukraine, as well as Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy and Kharkiv regions, in particular Kupyansk.

“It is very important and I thank you. You saw the people there and you understand what war is and what its consequences are.”, – emphasized the president.

Zelensky thanked the UN for supporting Ukrainians, noting that Russia’s war against Ukraine caused one of the largest humanitarian crises of our time. In his opinion, international organizations should make efforts to force the Russian Federation to establish a just and sustainable peace.

The President also emphasized the importance of the UN Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan for 2025, as well as the Regional Response Plan proposed by the Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees. These initiatives provide for the mobilization of almost 3.3 billion dollars to help Ukrainians this year.
