At least 12 people were injured in a knife attack at the main train station in Hamburg. The attack was carried out by a woman, her motives are still unknown. About this informs edition of Bild.
The incident happened on May 23 at approximately 18:05 local time (19:05 Kyiv time). According to the police, after the attack, the woman tried to run away, but she was quickly detained.
Hamburg police confirmed that the victims had suffered stab wounds, but the exact number of victims is currently being ascertained. It is known that three people are in a critical condition, three more were seriously injured, and six were lightly injured.
It will be recalled that on March 27, an attack with a knife took place in Amsterdam, as a result of which several people were injured. Four people were hospitalized, two of them were seriously injured. Later, the police identified the identity of the attacker. As it turned out, he is a citizen of Ukraine, originally from the Donetsk region.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhiy Tyhiy, said that the Ukrainian side has information about the possible possession of Ukrainian citizenship by the attacker.
