Zelenskyi explained how the state will protect the energy infrastructure

The President of Ukraine expects to implement a number of agreements even before the second Peace Summit.

Ukrainian authorities plan to protect the energy grid and the sky from enemy missile attacks with the help of political agreements, preparing for the second Peace Summit. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated this during meetings with French journalists.

According to Zelenskyi, Ukraine has already partially restored the energy infrastructure, in particular nuclear units at stations and thermal generation.

“Today, we are working to ensure energy stability, especially in autumn and winter. We hope that our Peace Summit, where energy security issues will be discussed, will contribute to this. There will be a corresponding meeting at the level of security advisors of different countries. In addition, a meeting will be organized on free navigation”, – said the president.

He said that the first meetings on ensuring security for the Ukrainian energy grid could take place before the end of the summer. Zelenskyi noted that such steps can contribute to the return of Ukrainians from abroad.

“We are now actively working to ensure the stable functioning of the energy sector in the fall and winter. We are counting on the Peace Summit, where the issue of energy security will be one of the key issues. We are expecting meetings at the level of security advisors of various countries, which should take place in the summer. We strive to organize everything so to make decisions that will protect the energy grid from missile attacks. If we can ensure security in the sky and at sea, it will send a strong signal to people to stay in the country and those who left will start to come back.”Zelenskyi noted.
