Zelenskyy imposed sanctions for anti-Ukrainian propaganda: Korolevska, Latynina and Luhanskyi are on the list

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed the decree on the implementation of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on the application of sanctions for anti-Ukrainian propaganda against five people – two Russian citizens and three Ukrainians. The list includes, in particular, former People’s Deputy Nataliya Korolevska, Russian journalist Yulia Latynina, and Ukrainian blogger Andriy Serebryansky (known as Luhansky).

Ex-deputy Gennadiy Balashov and Russian propagandist Tetiana Aksyonenko were also sanctioned. The reason for the restrictions was the participation of these persons in information campaigns aimed at undermining Ukraine’s defense capabilities, promoting anti-Ukrainian narratives and attempts to legitimize Russian aggression.

The introduced sanctions include the blocking of assets, a ban on the use of property, restrictions on economic activity, as well as a ban on the distribution of their content on the territory of Ukraine.

Let us remind you that Natalia Korolevska, who was a deputy from the banned “Opposition Platform — For Life” party, was declared wanted in 2023 in the case of non-declaration of real estate in the Kyiv region and in Russia. Criminal proceedings have been opened in Ukraine against Gennadiy Balashov – he is suspected of tax evasion in particularly large amounts. He himself denies all the accusations.

Yulia Latynina, who positions herself as an “opposition” Russian journalist, has repeatedly voiced anti-Ukrainian statements. In particular, she claimed that Ukraine is an “artificial state”, the Ukrainian language is allegedly “less culturally developed” than Russian, and Ukrainians and Russians are “brother nations”.
