President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the goal of the Ukrainian missile program is to create ballistic missiles as soon as possible. This is what he is about reported in an evening address after the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Staff meeting on April 2.
In his speech, Zelensky noted that during the meeting he listened to reports on the provision of Ukrainian brigades and the equipment of units.
“And also – in great detail about the Ukrainian missile program, our missile development, production. The task is to accelerate the creation of Ukrainian ballistics as much as possible.”, the president explained.
He emphasized that Ukrainian long-range weapons are a reliable and effective guarantee of security for the state. On the same day, Zelenskyi organized a meeting devoted to the development of military aviation.
“First of all, about what concerns the Ukrainian F-16s. The planes that are already in Ukraine. The planes that will be in Ukraine in the near future. Long-term supply. There were personnel decisions to make the management of military aviation stronger. This is a decision both in the Ministry of Defense and in the General Staff. And we see now that there are very good results, and I want to thank everyone who is putting in their efforts to develop our military aviation.” – concluded the president.
We will remind that on April 12, Zelenskyy held a separate meeting dedicated to the development of military aviation. Earlier, Minister of Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin confirmed that Ukraine not only manufactures a modernized version of the Long Neptune missile, but also regularly uses it during the war with Russia.
