Zelenskyy reacted to Fico’s invitation: “Come to Kyiv on Friday”

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, responded to the invitation of the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, to hold negotiations on gas issues, but put condition – the meeting should take place in Kyiv on Friday.
Earlier, Robert Fitso addressed Volodymyr Zelenskyi with an open letter, in which he invited the Ukrainian leader to a meeting to solve problems with gas transit.
The Prime Minister of Slovakia emphasized that he does not seek to increase tensions, but is focused on finding a way out of the situation caused by the suspension of transit. He proposed holding negotiations on Slovak territory near the border with Ukraine.
“It is symbolic that you could use the direct railway connection from Kyiv to Košice, which is the result of the joint efforts of our governments, in order to reach the Slovak territory“, Fizo noted.
President Zelenskyy answered succinctly:
“Ok. Come to Kyiv on Friday.”
