The state has earned UAH 9.6 billion from small-scale privatisation over the past two years

The total economic effect of the small privatization of state property over the past two years amounted to 9.58 billion hryvnias. About this reported Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

Within two years after the resumption of small privatization, the State Property Fund of Ukraine conducted 839 successful online auctions in the Prozorro.Prodazhi system. Thanks to this, the state budget received 6.65 billion hryvnias of direct income. Taking into account the paid VAT in the amount of 1.2 billion hryvnias and the obligations of the new owners to repay debts of privatized enterprises in the amount of 1.73 billion hryvnias, the total economic effect of small privatization reached 9.58 billion hryvnias.

First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliya Svyridenko emphasized that the restoration of privatization in the conditions of a full-scale war is an important step that is already bringing significant results. The sale of 99 property complexes of state-owned enterprises provided revenues of almost 4 billion hryvnias.

Over two years, 2,857 unique participants took part in the auctions, the average competition was 4.73 participants per lot. The starting price of objects during the auctions increased by an average of 2.53 times.

More than half of all revenues from privatization — 3.79 billion hryvnias — came from the sale of property complexes of state-owned enterprises. The new owners received a variety of objects: from industrial buildings and warehouses to hotels and vehicles.

It will be recalled that in September 2022, the government resumed small privatization after the adoption of Law No. 2468-IX, which simplified the procedure for the sale of state property. The first successful online auction under the new rules took place on September 19, 2022.
