Zelenskyy spoke about his vision of the agreement with the United States on minerals

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi believes that as part of a possible “agreement” with the administration of Donald Trump, the United States and Ukraine can jointly develop minerals on Ukrainian territory. About this informs Reuters.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine needs security guarantees from its allies as part of the settlement of the war and emphasized readiness to cooperate with the United States.
“If we are talking about an agreement, then let’s conclude an agreement – we are only for this. We need to stop Putin and protect what we have – the very rich Dnipro region, central Ukraine.” – he noted.
The President emphasized that Kyiv does not propose to transfer its resources to the USA, but seeks to create a mutually beneficial partnership for their joint development.
“Americans have helped the most, and so Americans should earn the most. And they should have that priority, and they will have it. I’d also like to talk to President Trump about that.”, – said Zelensky.
He also noted that Russia is well aware of the location of Ukraine’s critical resources thanks to geological research conducted in Soviet times. Currently, less than 20% of Ukraine’s mineral resources are under Russian occupation, including approximately half of the deposits of rare earth elements.
In addition, Ukraine has Europe’s largest reserves of titanium, which is used in the aviation and space industries, as well as significant reserves of uranium, which is used in nuclear power and weapons.
