“I will take part in the fourth Ukraine-Northern Europe summit and hold bilateral negotiations with its participants: the prime ministers of Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden. I will meet with the president and representatives of the parliament of the host country. I will take part in the meeting of the Northern Council“, Zelensky wrote.
He also noted that he will discuss support for Ukraine’s Victory Plan and areas where cooperation with Northern European countries can be most effective. The main issues of the meetings will cover:
- financing of Ukrainian defense production;
- preparation for the winter period;
- ensuring maritime security and limiting the activities of the Russian shadow fleet;
- support of Ukraine’s defense capabilities, including training and equipping the military.
“The countries of Northern Europe are our principled and determined allies, and the Ukraine-Northern Europe platform is one of our most effective multilateral formats. We continue to work together to realize its full potential“, the Ukrainian president emphasized.
It will be recalled that earlier Volodymyr Zelenskyi indicated the possibility of holding peace talks with Russia with the participation of India, where, according to him, Prime Minister Narendra Modi can play a key role in helping to end the war.
