1,000 servicemen began taking the defense procurement course at “Army+”

A new course dedicated to defense procurement, developed by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, has appeared in the “Army+” mobile application. During the first month before training joined already 1,000 military personnel, mostly from units responsible for supply, logistics and procurement.
The course covers the main topics: procurement planning, market analysis and participation in tender procedures. This is the largest course on the platform in terms of volume, and only 23% of trainees successfully complete it to the end, earning a certificate. The military calls the course informative and useful for testing knowledge.
“The military is not only about technology and combat operations. The military is also about supply planning and working with suppliers, because this is critical for the quality work of units. Our team is glad that this voluminous and full of useful information defense procurement course has been useful to so many users”, — emphasized Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for Digitalization.
The introduction of positions of procurement officers in the Armed Forces made training especially relevant. As educational program coordinator Anastasia Kovalyova notes, the flexible format of taking the course through the mobile application is a significant advantage.
The program was developed in cooperation with the Defense Procurement Reform Project, the Office of Support for Changes in the MoU and with the support of the British Embassy. A total of 12 training courses are available on the “Army+” platform, which 95,000 servicemen have already completed.
