500 tons of wheat flour sent from Ukraine to Syria: Zelenskyy

500 tons of Ukrainian wheat flour are already on their way to Syria as part of the “Grain from Ukraine” humanitarian program implemented in cooperation with the World Food Program (WFP). About this reported President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

“As promised, we are supporting the Syrian people in their difficult time. 500 tons of Ukrainian wheat flour is already on its way to Syria within the framework of our humanitarian program “Grain from Ukraine” in cooperation with the WFP. – says the message.

The president noted that aid will be provided to 33,250 Syrian families, which equates to approximately 167,000 people. Each package weighing 15 kilograms will feed a family of five for a month. Zelensky expressed hope for stability, security and recovery for Syria and its citizens.

The head of state emphasized that Ukraine seeks to stabilize the situation in Syria and is ready to supply food to this country. However, Zelensky stressed that it is important to eliminate the Russian presence to ensure the security of Syria and the entire Middle East region.
