Turkey offers Istanbul as a platform for peace talks between Russia and Ukraine

The administration of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expressed readiness to support the resumption of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine, which can be held again in Istanbul. This was stated by Fahrettin Altun, head of the communications department at the administration of the President of Turkey. informs Euronews.

Altun emphasized that Turkey is the initiator of an important diplomatic process, which is an exemplary example in international politics.

“Istanbul has established itself as a platform for peace talks and has received wide recognition on the international stage. Naturally, there is a possibility that the countries will gather again in Istanbul.

In this context, Turkey, as a stabilizing force, is ready to provide all the necessary support both in humanitarian matters and for the start of peace talks.” – said the head of the communications department at the administration of the President of Turkey.

He called on other countries to act as “constructively and responsibly” as possible to prevent escalation.
