A Croatian manufacturer of demining equipment has started work in Ukraine

The Croatian company DOK-ING, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of robotic systems for humanitarian demining, opened its office in Kyiv. About this reported Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

Economy Minister Yulia Svyridenko noted that Ukraine is one of the largest users of DOK-ING technology, and the opening of an office in Kyiv will contribute to strengthening cooperation between the countries in the field of mine action.

“There are already 45 DOK-ING machines in operation in Ukraine, which have helped clear more than a thousand hectares of land. I hope that the opening of the office in Kyiv will be the beginning of even closer cooperation, and our sappers will be able to learn in Ukraine how to operate and maintain these machines”, – said Sviridenko.

It also became known that the Ukrainian company A3TECH is engaged in large-unit assembly of DOK-ING demining machines with partial localization of production. Currently, part of the working equipment is produced in Ukraine, and by the end of the year the level of localization is planned to reach 100%.

Eight MV-10 vehicles were produced this year, six of which have already been transferred to the State Special Transport Service of Ukraine. It is important that eight of the 45 machines operating on its territory have already been manufactured in Ukraine.

Yuliya Svyridenko emphasized the importance of this process for the country’s economy: localization of production provides jobs, revenues to the budget and simplifies logistics, which speeds up the demining process. In the end, this not only strengthens the economy, but also helps save the lives of millions of Ukrainians.
