A large-scale fire broke out at a chemical plant in Kazan due to a drone attack

On January 14, powerful explosions rang out in Kazan. According to information from the local authorities, the region came under drone attack, as a result of which a large-scale fire broke out at the Orgsintez plant. This is reported by rosZMI.

On January 14, 2025, the Kazan plant “Orgintez” was attacked by drones. Russian mass media assure that “only debris fell” on the territory of the enterprise, but footage of a large-scale fire indicates the opposite

Local residents say that they first heard the sound of drones flying over the village of Osynivka, and later explosions rang out in the vicinity of the plant. The territory around the “Orgsintez” enterprise is currently under guard, emergency services are working there. According to local authorities, the flames engulfed three cisterns on the factory territory. In addition, a base with liquefied gases near the plant was also hit.

There is currently no information about the victims of the attack. There are also no data on possible destruction or damage to the infrastructure near the plant. Due to the drone attack, the operation of the airport in Kazan has been suspended – flights are not accepted or departed.
