A man opened fire in downtown New York, killing 4 people

A man armed with an automatic rifle opened fire at a prestigious Manhattan skyscraper in midtown New York, killing four people, including a police officer. After the crime, the attacker shortened his life. About this informs CNN.
As reported by New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, the attacker was 27-year-old Shane Tamura, a resident of Las Vegas. He stormed into the 44-story building on Park Avenue with an M4 assault rifle and opened fire, killing a police officer and two other men, she said. The gunman then used the elevator to go up to the floor where Ruden Building Management is located and shot the woman there.
“After he shot the officer, he then shot the woman who was hiding behind the column and walked through the lobby, firing pistols at him.” – said Tish.
Then, as the commissioner noted, Tamura “walked down the corridor and shot himself in the chest.” According to Tisch, Tamura traveled across the country in three days and arrived in New York shortly before the attack. New York police received information from Las Vegas authorities that Tamura had documented mental disorders.
“His motives are being investigated and we are working to understand why he chose this particular location.”, – noted Tish.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams said in his video message that “many people” were injured as a result of the shooting.
