On the initiative and with the participation of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine officially opened up Training and testing complex for the development of innovative technologies in the fields of mine action, civil defense and environmental safety — UTTC (Ukrainian Training and Testing Complex).
On the first day of operation of the landfill, products of Ukrainian manufacturers, expositions of scientific institutions and techno-industrial clusters were presented. The complex is equipped with tracks and obstacle courses for testing light and heavy mechanized demining systems, sites for testing unmanned aerial and ground robotic vehicles, metal detectors, specialized demining equipment, protective structures and environmental control means.
It is on the basis of UTTC that experience will be accumulated in the areas of mine countermeasures, civil defense and environmental security. Scientific research and development, testing and implementation of modern technological solutions will be carried out here.
Sappers of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, representatives of executive authorities at all levels, international partners, business representatives, operators of mine countermeasures and international organizations took part in the opening of the test site.
“This complex is a unique platform both for practical use and for interdepartmental and international cooperation, testing of domestic and foreign samples in the field of mine action, civil defense and environmental security.” — said the head of the Main Department of Mine Action, Civil Defense and Environmental Security, Colonel Ruslan Beregulya.
