Artists and journalists will be checked for the purpose of the trip when crossing the border
Border guards will check the purpose of travel of artists and media persons when crossing the border. About this reported spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andrii Demchenko.
“Our inspectors will check the request letter from the Ministry of Culture, which should be sent to the administration of the State Border Service regarding a specific person. It must be an invitation from the host party, where these representatives plan to go.
Well, actually, this is also a military registration document with the appropriate markings of the territorial recruitment centers. And, of course, passport documents that will be checked by border guards directly at the checkpoint. A separate condition is confirmation of the purpose of the trip”, – explained Demchenko.
He noted that if it is established that a person is heading to an event for which the ICSK did not grant permission to cross the border, then due to the lack of confirmation of the purpose of the trip, the person may be refused exit from Ukraine.
“I will not reveal all the points regarding the verification of the purpose of the trip. But the border guards, who can interact with all directions to check whether the event is really taking place and whether the person was invited to it, can also ask the person himself about his plans outside of Ukraine during this event. Based on this information and all the received data, it will be determined whether the purpose of the trip is confirmed.”, – emphasized Demchenko.
