Three Ukrainian universities made it into the world ranking of higher education institutions
Three Ukrainian institutions of higher education were included in the updated World University Rankings (CWUR – The Center for World University Rankings), which includes the 2000 best universities on the planet. List published on the official page of CWUR.
The following Ukrainian universities were included in the rating:
- Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine — 1262nd place;
- Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko — 1535th place;
- Kharkiv Physical and Technical Institute — 1543rd place.
The leadership in the world list has traditionally been occupied by American universities: the first place was taken by Harvard, followed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Stanford became the third. The universities of Great Britain — Cambridge and Oxford — took the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
CWUR has been publishing the ranking since 2012 and evaluates universities according to four main criteria: quality of education, level of teaching staff (including academic awards), success of graduates in the labor market and results of scientific activity, including publications, research and citation index.
We will remind you that in 2024 Taras Shevchenko KNU was included in one of the most prestigious world academic rankings for the first time – the so-called Shanghai ranking.
