Accounts of 26 thousand Ukrainians were blocked for evading mobilization

In Ukraine, the bank accounts of 26,000 citizens were blocked due to violations of the mobilization legislation. About this reported Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
Blocking of accounts is carried out on the basis of court decisions in cases where a conscript does not pay fines related to evasion of mobilization duties.
“Accounts of 26,000 people are currently blocked for violation of mobilization”, — explained the press service of the Ministry of Justice.
They also clarified that updated data on the number of blockages will become available after April 1. Currently, strengthened mobilization rules have been in force in Ukraine for almost a year. According to Article 210 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, a fine of 17,000 to 25,000 hryvnias for natural persons is provided for untimely updating of account data or failure to appear at the territorial collection center upon summons. Fines are higher for legal entities.
After the fine is imposed, the case is transferred to the police, who can place the offender on the wanted list. If the fine is not paid, additional sanctions may be applied, including the seizure of bank accounts or temporary suspension of the right to drive vehicles. At the same time, the final decision on blocking accounts is made exclusively by the court.
Lawyers recommend not to delay the payment of fines, so as not to bring the case to court and block accounts. The best option, in their opinion, is a personal appeal to the TCC and JV to resolve the situation.
We would like to remind you that Ukraine has simplified the procedure for paying fines for conscripts who did not update their data on time or did not appear on a summons. In the near future, it will be possible to do this through the “Rezerv+” mobile application, without the need for personal presence at the TCC.
