WFP continues financial assistance to pensioners and people with disabilities

The World Food Program (WFP) of the United Nations in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Policy and the Pension Fund of Ukraine continued providing financial support to pensioners and persons with disabilities at least until the end of May 2025.
About 323,000 people receive monthly assistance, the total amount of payments is 222 million hryvnias. The program covers residents of nine oblasts: Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhya and Sumy.
Assistance is automatically credited to the following categories:
- pensioners;
- people with disabilities;
- children with disabilities;
- persons who do not have the right to a pension.
An important condition: the recipients must not simultaneously use the aid program for IDPs or receive other international financial support.
The amount of assistance is defined as an additional payment of up to 3,250 hryvnias. For example, if a person already receives 2,500 UAH of social assistance, he will receive an additional 750 UAH. Receiving a payment does not require registration — money is received automatically in the same way as a pension or other social benefits: through a bank account or Ukrposhta.
