An official of the Kherson Regional Military Administration was suspected of embezzling 300 hectares of land

An official of the Department of Agriculture of the Kherson Oblast was suspected of illegally taking possession of agricultural land with a total area of 300 hectares. About this informs Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, the HOVA official organized an illegal scheme for the appropriation of agricultural land in the Tyagin community with a total area of 300 hectares and a value of over 17 million hryvnias. To implement this criminal plan, he involved two accomplices.
In June 2024, using forged certificates and state documents, the suspects registered the ownership of five plots of land with fictitious persons.
In order to hide the illegal occupation of the land, this group prepared the technical documentation in the autumn to divide each plot into two, using notarized statements and a land management company. As a result, ten new land parcels were created with separate cadastral numbers assigned to them.
However, the perpetrators did not have time to completely disguise the fraudulent scheme and carry out further resale of plots. Currently, all land plots have been seized, and the prosecutor’s office is taking measures to return them to state ownership.
The suspect was remanded in custody with the possibility of bail. The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the Kherson region.
