Arsen Makarchuk appointed as the new head of the State Statistics Service

The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Arsen Makarchuk as the head of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. About this reported representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.
Prior to his appointment, Makarchuk worked as the director of the Strategy and Development Department of the National Bank of Ukraine from 2020.
At the same time, a decision was made to appoint the former head of the State Statistics Service, Ihor Werner, as deputy head of the State Service of Ukraine for Children’s Affairs for issues of digital development, digital transformations and digitalization. Ihor Werner headed the State Statistics Service since December 2016.
In addition, the temporary performance of the duties of the head of the State Export Control Service of Ukraine is entrusted to Oleh Tsilvik.
The government also dismissed Ihor Klymenko from the position of deputy head of the State Agency of Ukraine for the Development of Land Reclamation, Fisheries and Food Programs, and Serhii Dekhtyarenko from the position of deputy head of the State Geology and Subsoil Service for digital development, digital transformations and digitization.
