The Ministry of Defense explained the algorithm for returning from the North Caucasus using Army+
The Ministry of Defense reminds that servicemen who voluntarily left the unit can return to the ranks of the Armed Forces until August 30 and avoid criminal liability. The most convenient way to take advantage of this opportunity is to submit a report through the Army+ application. Ministry of Defense explained algorithm of actions for returning from the SZH in this way.
First, the soldier submits a report, which takes about five minutes. Next, the Main Directorate of the Military Law and Order Service (VSP) receives this document and confirms the specified information. After that, the serviceman has 24 hours to arrive at the selected VSP department. There, the relevant documents are drawn up, a prescription is issued and assistance is provided with a safe return to one of the military or reserve units.
The commander of the unit to which the serviceman returns must renew his financial support and social guarantees within 72 hours and notify the relevant authorities about this on the day of resumption of service. After returning, you can immediately submit a report for a change of duty station by selecting the option “Returning to duty after SZH” in the corresponding field. The recommendation letter will indicate the current position in the reserve battalion, and if necessary, the Personnel Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will additionally check the information directly in the unit.
“In December 2024, we launched a simple, transparent and fast way to return to the army after voluntarily leaving a unit, and for unit commanders to get motivated soldiers. In February, we could receive up to 120 reports per day from military personnel who wanted to use the simplified return-to-service algorithm. Army+ shortens the path from reporting to a new duty station where you can be more useful.” – said Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization.
This mechanism is available to those who left the part before May 10. In the event that the SSR occurred after this date, the serviceman will only be able to return to the unit from which he left, and the process of resuming service may take several months.
