At night, the Russian Federation attacked the Kyiv region and Kharkiv with drones: there are casualties and significant damage
On the night of July 6, Russian troops carried out another attack with kamikaze drones on peaceful cities of Ukraine. Kyiv region and Kharkiv were targeted. As a result of shelling, the residential infrastructure was damaged, and there were casualties among the civilian population.
As reported Kyiv regional military administration, enemy drones attacked Vyshgorod district. As a result of the impact, three people were injured. A 35-year-old man suffered shrapnel wounds to his back, arms and legs. Two more — a 79-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man — experienced an acute stress reaction.
The attack caused extensive damage. Four garages were destroyed, one car burned completely, and three more were damaged. Private houses, farm buildings and two high-rise buildings were also destroyed. Rescuers unblocked a woman born in 1938 in one of the damaged houses. Local residents on social networks publish photos of the consequences of the attack — destroyed facades, broken windows, fires at the site of former garages. Emergency services continue to eliminate the consequences of the attack.
Along with the attack on Kyiv region, the Russian Federation struck Kharkov. By information Oleg Sinegubov, head of the Kharkiv OVA, at least two people were injured as a result of the shelling: A 46-year-old woman in the Novobavar district and a 2.8-month-old girl in the Shevchenkiv district who experienced an acute stress reaction.
As reported Dmytro Yatsichenko, Head of the Department of Organization of Procedural Management of Pretrial Investigations, Support of Public Prosecutions and Analytical Support of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, at least six Geran-2 type drones were struck in the city. Kyiv, Shevchenkiv and Novobavarsky districts came under fire. According to Yatsichenko, the hits were recorded directly in the areas of public buildings.
At the same time, the mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov at night reported only that, according to preliminary information, no casualties were found after the first three explosions. However, around 2:09 a.m., he reported a possible hit in the private sector of the Novobavar district — relevant services are working on the spot, the details are being clarified. Terekhov also warned the townspeople about the re-approach of a group of enemy drones and urged them to be as careful as possible and follow safety rules.
