In 2024, Ukrainians spent 7 billion hryvnias more on beer products than the previous year. The total income of the industry reached 46.3 billion hryvnias. About this informs VKURSI platform.
According to analysts’ calculations, the average consumer price of domestically produced beer was UAH 32.8 for 0.5 liters in 2023 and increased to UAH 34.1 in 2024.
“The total revenue of the industry amounted to UAH 46.3 billion, which is 17.5% more compared to 2023 (39.4 billion UAH) and 53% higher than the volume of 2022 (30.2 billion UAH). This growth indicates the gradual recovery of consumer demand, the adaptation of enterprises to a difficult economic environment, and the partial stabilization of the domestic market.”, says the study.
In 2024, the total profit of the industry was 2.5 billion hryvnias, which corresponds to the level of 2023. At the same time, in 2022, the industry suffered losses in the amount of 699 million hryvnias.
According to VKURSI, only two companies earned more than 1 billion hryvnias in profit, three more earned over 100 million, and ten – in the range from 10 to 100 million hryvnias. The largest share of the total profit — 84% — was provided by a company registered in Zaporizhzhia.
“Despite the proximity to the front line and regular air strikes, companies registered in the Zaporizhzhia region generated the largest total profit of UAH 2.2 billion. This is due to the location of the PJSC Carlsberg Ukraine enterprise in the region, which became the leader in terms of profit in 2024.” – say analysts.
High indicators were also recorded in Kharkiv (UAH 177 million), Kyiv (UAH 146 million), Ternopil (UAH 126 million), and Khmelnytskyi (UAH 88 million) regions.
