Bogolyubov commented on the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on sanctions against him
Entrepreneur Gennadiy Bogolyubov considers sanctions introduced against him by the National Security Council as a political decision that has no legal basis.
“The NSDC’s decision to introduce sanctions against me is an exclusively political step. I consider it a part of a political game aimed at redistributing business assets and eliminating “unpleasant ones”. We are preparing a legal position for active legal protection” Bogolyubov said.
The businessman’s lawyer, Oleksiy Nyzhnyk, emphasized that the introduction of sanctions contradicts Ukrainian sanctions legislation, since “Bogolyubov is a citizen of Ukraine and does not belong to any entity engaged in terrorist activities.”
We will remind that the businessman is suspected of organizing his own illegal border crossing with the involvement of a border guard. For this, he allegedly used the passport of a citizen of Ukraine, which was lost in 2022. Bogolyubov is currently wanted.
