The largest water pipeline is being launched at the Kakhovskaya HPP

The Autostrada company completed the construction of the “Zaporizhia-Tomakivka-Marganets” main water pipeline in just 7 months, setting a record for the speed of implementation of a project of this scale. Vodogin already supplies water to the communities of Marganetska, Myrivska, Shirokivska and Tomakivska, and will soon provide water to Nikopol, Pokrov and Chervonogrihorivka.

About this reported the general director of the company Maksym Shkil.

Autostrada built the highway water main from scratch in 7 months – from design to implementation. This is a record short period. Only the development of projects of this level takes up to one and a half years. We didn’t have that time, considering the humanitarian catastrophe in which the region found itself due to the undermining of the Kakhovskaya HPP.
At the same time, design, obtaining technical conditions, approvals and permits, and actual construction continued – designers, surveyors, builders worked harmoniously and in parallel – directly on the site, in a 24/7 mode“, – informs the director.

This vital project was a response to the humanitarian disaster caused by the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP. Thanks to around-the-clock work and innovative solutions, such as laying pipes by horizontal drilling under the roads and the river, the project was completed in February.

The water supply is fully automated and has a centralized control point, which ensures its efficient and reliable operation. To protect against shelling, most of the system is located underground.

Despite financial difficulties and lack of timely payment from the state, Autostrada continues to provide water supply to the region. The company hopes for a quick settlement of the debt issue, which currently amounts to UAH 1.5 billion.
