Boris Johnson spoke obscenely about Putin and recalled the end of the Russian Empire

Former Prime Minister of Great Britain Boris Johnson in an interview with the newspaper Delphi expressed harsh criticism of Vladimir Putin. Johnson called him a “fucking idiot”, condemning the imperialist ambitions of the Russian leader.

The ex-prime minister emphasized that Putin’s actions are archaic and barbaric, and added that the Russian Empire no longer exists. He called on the Russian president to come to terms with the fact that the countries that were previously under Moscow’s control are no longer in its sphere of influence.

“Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine – all this is no longer part of the empire. Volodymyr, everything is over!”, Johnson said.

In the conversation, he also mentioned the imperial past of Great Britain, noting that the modern world does not need control over other countries. In his opinion, the Russian approach to Ukraine demonstrates “chronic ambiguity.” He emphasized that Ukraine should be part of the West and deserves support, including NATO membership.

In addition, Boris Johnson stated in an interview with Delfi:

“We will not solve the problem of Ukraine without security guarantees provided by Article 5 of NATO or long-term membership in the Alliance. Perhaps we will find temporary or short-term solutions, but the goal must remain NATO.”

At the same time, the publication writes that he also received criticism from his own party. The current leader of the Conservative Party, Cammy Badenoch, said that Johnson himself was a victim of his decisions.

“If Boris hadn’t criminalized partying during COVID-19, he might have stayed in office.” – she remarked.

Johnson has previously stated that Britain bears a moral responsibility to Ukraine, and argued that if he had been elected prime minister earlier, he could have prevented a full-scale war, calling for Ukraine to be more actively integrated into Western structures.
