Czech company completes construction of projectile production line in Ukraine

Czech defense company Czechoslovak Group almost completed construction of a production line for artillery shells in Ukraine.

As part of a joint project with the government of Ukraine, the Czechoslovak Group will soon complete the creation of a line for the production of 155-mm artillery ammunition. The enterprise will produce the main range of projectiles included in the company’s production portfolio.

“The production site is in the final stages of preparation for launch, but we cannot give a specific date at this time”– company representatives said during the briefing.

The Czechoslovak Group noted that the company is only responsible for production preparation, and all other organizational processes are carried out by the Ukrainian side. The future enterprise is located in a region with a low level of threat of missile attacks, which will ensure stable and uninterrupted work.

Czechoslovak Group actively cooperates with Ukraine in the field of ammunition production and development. In December 2024, it became known that the company “Ukrainian armored vehicles” will receive licenses for the production of tank and artillery shells from a European defense holding. In October 2024, the parties concluded an agreement on the transfer to the Ukrainian side of licenses for the production of artillery ammunition of NATO calibers.
