Details of negotiations between the United States and Russia “will not be made public”: Peskov

The spokesman of the administration of the President of Russia, Dmytro Peskov, said that the details of the negotiations between the USA and the Russian Federation, which took place on March 24 in Saudi Arabia, “will not be made public.” Russian mass media will inform about this.
According to Peskov, Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump received the conclusions of the negotiations between the delegations of the two countries, which took place in Saudi Arabia and lasted 12 hours. Peskov noted that the meeting had a “technical nature”, and its details and conclusions “will not be made public”.
At the same time, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Serhiy Lavrov, said that during the negotiations, Russia and the USA discussed the issue of navigation security in the Black Sea. Lavrov said that “Russia advocates the restoration of the Black Sea initiative in a more acceptable form for all” and will demand “guarantees” from the US for its restoration. At the same time, he added that “Russia does not trust Ukraine.”
We will remind that the Black Sea Grain Initiative was created by Ukraine together with the UN and Turkey. On July 18, 2023, Russia announced its withdrawal from the agreement, after which, from July 20, 2023, the Russian Federation considered all vessels bound for Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea as potential carriers of military cargo.
Ukraine continued to export grain through Odesa ports despite shelling from the Russian Federation. In November 2023, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated that “Russia has effectively destroyed the Black Sea Initiative” and emphasized that “the initiative had a positive impact on food markets around the world.”
