Drones attacked the Volgograd region, a fire broke out at the refinery

On the night of January 31, unknown drones again attacked several regions of Russia. An oil depot caught fire in the Volgograd region as a result of the strike. This is reported by rosZMI.

According to local residents, around three o’clock in the morning there were explosions, drones and gunfire. Explosions were heard near the oil refinery in Krasnoarmii district. Local media reports about an attack on the Lukoil refinery in Volgograd.

Official statements appeared only in the morning. The governor of the Volgograd region, Andriy Bocharov, confirmed the fact of the fire at the oil refinery, but said that it allegedly occurred due to “falling debris” of the UAV. He also did not specify the exact location of the attack.

“An attack by eight UAVs was repelled on the territory of the Volgograd region. As a result of the wreckage of one of the UAVs, a fire broke out on the territory of an oil refinery, which was quickly extinguished.”, – said the governor.

Bocharov also reported that one worker was injured as a result of the attack and was hospitalized.
