Due to the drone attack, the “Carpet” plan was introduced at Moscow airports

On the night of May 5, an attempted attack by unknown drones was recorded in the capital of the Russian Federation, Moscow. According to the local authorities, the drones were destroyed by air defense systems. The “Carpet” plan was introduced at Moscow airports. This is reported by rosZMI.
Moscow Mayor Serhii Sobyanin said that around 02:00 four drones were shot down in the Podolsk region, about 30 kilometers from the capital. According to preliminary data, no victims or destruction were recorded.
In connection with the threat of a drone attack at night, the “Carpet” aviation plan was implemented at the Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports – the take-off and landing of planes were temporarily suspended. The restrictions were lifted at 04:00, said the representative of Rosaviatsia Artem Korenyako. In addition, there were reports of explosions in Voronezh around 01:30. Eyewitnesses claim to have heard the sound of drones over the city, but there is no official confirmation of this data yet.
We will remind that on May 4, as a result of shelling, the enterprise of OJSC “Strila” in the village of Suzemka, Bryansk region, was damaged. A large-scale fire broke out on the spot. The Strela plant, which specializes in the production of transformers, chokes and autotransformers, cooperates with leading enterprises of the defense, aerospace, electrical engineering, electronic industries and research institutions.
