Due to the provocations of the Russian Federation, Poland has launched a new air operation in the Baltic Sea

Poland launched a new airspace control operation in the Baltic Sea region in response to increased provocations by Russia. This was announced by the Minister of National Defense of Poland, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysh, transmits PAP.
According to Kosiniak-Kamish, several incidents related to the actions of the Russian aviation, which violates international rules and even the airspace of the Republic of Poland, were recorded recently in the Baltic Sea region. In this regard, the Polish Armed Forces launched a new operation to ensure security in the air over the Baltic Sea and in the north of the country.
“Russia’s provocations actually affect all of our allies in the Baltic Sea region and make such strengthening of our missions necessary today.” – explained Kosinyak-Kamysh.
He clarified that the operation started already this week, and within its limits, additional forces and means, including airplanes and helicopters, were used to patrol the airspace in the north of Poland and in the Baltic Sea area. The operation also involves the redeployment of additional military helicopters from other regions of the country to bases located on the Baltic coast and near the border with Russia’s Kaliningrad region.
We will remind that the Baltic Sentry naval operation is already underway in the Baltic Sea.
