Trump calls for Harris’s impeachment and trial
Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, has called for the resignation of Vice President Kamala Harris and her impeachment. According to ABC News, the former president made such a statement during a rally in Pennsylvania, commenting on the issue of migration on the US-Mexico border.
“She should be disqualified. She should resign as vice president”, Trump said.
He also added that Harris should be impeached and held accountable for his actions related to the border crisis. In addition, the ex-president expressed the opinion that the vice-president should be banned from running for the post of president in the future.
The announcement came after Kamala Harris visited the US-Mexico border, where she called for increased security measures and criticized Trump for his previous actions, which she said undermined support for a bipartisan border security bill.
This is not the first time that Trump has threatened his political opponents with lawsuits. He previously made similar allegations against Joe Biden and 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Despite his own calls for others to be held accountable, Trump himself is the subject of several criminal investigations, including one involving paying a porn star to remain silent, for which he has already been found guilty.
