During his visit to the US, Yermak discussed the Istanbul talks and the deportation of children with Kellogg

Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President spent a meeting in Washington with the US special representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg. The parties discussed the situation at the front, the issue of deportation of Ukrainian children and the progress of negotiations in Turkey.

During the conversation, in particular, the results of the negotiations in Istanbul, the need to increase sanctions pressure on Russia, the continuation of defense support for Ukraine by the USA, and the issue of illegal removal of children were discussed.

The Ukrainian side handed over the relevant lists of children to Russia and is currently waiting for a response. Yermak emphasized that the return of young Ukrainians home is of fundamental importance, and Kyiv highly appreciates Washington’s involvement in this process. He also emphasized that Russia is deliberately avoiding the cessation of hostilities.

“This should be put to an end by force, because Ukraine has done everything to stop the war. But if Russia does not cease fire voluntarily, we are forced to conduct operations and destroy their military potential.” – Andriy Yermak.
