According to the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, 180,253 companies are registered in Ukraine on the frontline territories. 14% of them work in active combat zones. Most of such businesses are concentrated in the Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions, informs The opendatabase.
In total, more than 1.4 million companies are registered in Ukraine, and 13% of them, approximately 180 thousand, are located in the territories close to the front.
Among them, only 1,100 companies operate in zones of active hostilities, where state registers are completely disabled. Another 25,000 (14%) work in regions where fighting is going on, but state information resources remain available. The rest, 153,000 companies, are registered in territories where hostilities are possible.
The leader in the number of registered companies among the nine front-line regions is Kharkiv Oblast, where more than 69,000 businesses operate, which is more than a third of the total number. Zaporizhia Oblast ranks second with 32,000 registered companies, and Mykolaiv Oblast ranks third with over 27,000 businesses, which is 15.2% of the total.
