The volume of revenues from excise tax in Ukraine has increased significantly: for the period from January to May 2025, the budget received 69.7 billion hryvnias. This significantly exceeds the figure for the same period in 2024 — then it amounted to UAH 46.9 billion. About this reported head of the State Tax Service Ruslan Kravchenko.
“For 5 months, the budget has already received UAH 11.3 billion (+19.3%) over the plan. In May 2025, UAH 15.3 billion of excise tax was received”, Kravchenko noted.
He explained that the main factors of growth were the active growth of import of excise goods, especially tobacco products.
“The systematic control over the circulation of excise goods also gives noticeable results”, – added the head of the DPS.
We will remind you that in May, the DPS exceeded the revenue plan by UAH 5.2 billion, and in total, for five months of 2025, the overperformance amounted to more than UAH 51.6 billion, which is +11% to the plan. In particular, income from personal income tax amounted to UAH 30.3 billion, which is 10.7% higher than the planned figure. Corporate income tax brought in UAH 45.4 billion, which is 5.2% more than expected. Excise duty on manufactured and imported goods yielded UAH 15.3 billion, which also exceeds the plan by 3.3%.
