France allows the deployment of its nuclear weapons on the territory of allies: Macron

France is considering placing its nuclear weapons on allied territory as a replacement for America’s nuclear arsenal in Europe. This was announced by the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, informs Le Figaro.

Macron noted that he is ready to expand cooperation with European partners in the field of nuclear deterrence.

“Those who want to deepen the dialogue with us will be able to participate in the exercises of deterrence forces, if necessary. These exchanges will contribute to the development of a real strategic culture between Europeans.”, he emphasized, adding that France’s nuclear doctrine remains unchanged.

According to him, there is “no need to be afraid” of the issue of nuclear weapons, but at the same time, France’s strategic approach will not change. At the same time, far-right leader Marine Le Pen criticized Macron’s statement, stressing that the nuclear deterrent should remain purely French.
