G7 countries warn Russia of new sanctions if the ceasefire is abandoned

Russia is threatened with new sanctions if it does not agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine. This is stated in the final draft statement of the G7 countries, informs Reuters.
“The G7 countries called on Russia to reciprocate by agreeing to a ceasefire on equal terms and fully abiding by it.” – says the draft document of the “Big Seven”, which includes Great Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the USA.
The G7 emphasizes that the ceasefire must be real, not declarative. In addition, steps to deter future Russian aggression are being discussed, including the provision of security guarantees to Ukraine.
Possible new sanctions include price restrictions on Russian oil and increased military support for Ukraine. The final approval of the document rests with the ministers of the G7 countries.
