German company DIEHL tested a ground robotic complex in Ukraine

The German arms manufacturer DIEHL, which became widely known thanks to the IRIS-T air defense systems, conducted tests of its ground robotic complex in Ukraine. The testing took place within the framework of the Test in Ukraine initiative, which is implemented by the Brave1 defense cluster. About this reported Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

According to him, the first test within the platform took place on the basis of the training center of the 3rd Assault Brigade.

“During testing, the DIEHL team was able to test its technology in conditions close to combat. The company received feedback from the military, which systematically works with ground-based robotic complexes, as well as clear recommendations for adapting the complex to the requirements of the front.”– said Fedorov.

We will remind you that the Brave1 cluster was created on April 26, 2023 as a single space for the interaction of defense technology developers with the state, the army and the private sector. Its purpose is to intensify the production of weapons and military equipment.

On April 28, 2025, Brave1 Market — a marketplace for the latest technologies for the Armed Forces — became operational in Ukraine. Ukrainian units were given the opportunity to independently choose equipment for use, buying it at the expense of military units. Currently, the purchase is made only for money, but in the future it is planned to introduce the possibility of payment using “e-points”.

According to the Ministry of Digital Transformation, as of June of this year, more than 3,600 developments were registered on the platform. Of these, 300 are codified in accordance with NATO standards. The total amount of grants issued in support of defense innovation reached 50 million dollars. In addition, with the assistance of Brave1, more than 65 million dollars were attracted to the Ukrainian defense industry.
