The “eOselia” program will be made available to peasants

Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitaly Koval together with the Chairman of the Board of “Ukrfinzhitlo” Yevhen Metzger discussed launch of the “eOselya” affordable mortgage program aimed at supporting rural residents.

The new mortgage program provides loans with rates of 3% and 7% for up to 20 years, and priority will be given to rural residents. According to Vitaly Koval, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy fully supports this social initiative and plans to jointly develop a clear road map for the implementation of the program with “Ukrfinzhitlo”.

“To begin with, we will determine the criteria of the mortgage program. In particular, categories, regions and the amount of compensation for the first installment. We plan to focus on farmers from the front-line territories, IDPs and women.”, – he noted.

The minister is confident that this initiative will not only provide farmers with their own housing, but also contribute to the development of the agricultural sector and social stability in rural communities.

Previously, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine changed the terms of the preferential mortgage within the “eOselya” program. From now on, in such regions as Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Sumy and Kherson regions, it is allowed to buy housing older than 10 years.
