Germany is ready to send its peacekeeping troops into Ukraine to monitor the ceasefire

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Annalena Berbock, expressed the possibility of introducing peacekeeping forces to Ukraine to ensure monitoring of the observance of the ceasefire regime. About this informs Spiegel.
Burbok noted that this option can be considered in combination with security guarantees, in particular due to Ukraine’s possible membership in NATO. Asked about Germany’s potential role, she said Germany was ready to support any measures that would promote peace in the future.
The report also says that the new high representative of the EU for foreign policy, Kaya Callas, suggested that the European military could be involved in ensuring the ceasefire regime in Ukraine.
According to her, the peacekeeping mission can be joined by soldiers from countries that have already shown openness to discussing sending troops to Ukraine, in particular France or the Baltic states.
