Government approves procedure for military registration of convicts

On January 14, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the procedure for placing convicts on the military register, the procedure for them to undergo a military medical commission, and also determined the list of territorial recruitment and social support centers (TCC and SP) responsible for the military registration of persons released on parole. “Approved, in accordance with the sixth part of Article 154-1 of the Criminal and Executive Code of Ukraine, the Procedure for taking convicted conscripts into the military register, conscripts, their passing of a military medical commission, professional and psychological selection; a list of territorial recruitment and social support centers that carry out military registration of persons released on parole;

The procedure for escorting persons released on parole from serving a sentence by the National Guard to territorial recruitment and social support centers, as well as relevant units of the Armed Forces to a specialized unit of a military unit for concluding a contract and completing military service; The order of interaction of territorial recruitment and social support centers, penal institutions and the National Guard”. – says the message.

We will remind that on May 17, 2024, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law according to which some categories of prisoners are allowed to mobilize into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This law was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on May 8.
