Great Britain will produce drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine on its territory

Ukraine and Great Britain have started the implementation of a large-scale project on the joint production of drones for the Defense Forces of Ukraine. According to the agreements, the drones will be manufactured in Great Britain. That’s what happened is known after the meeting of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi with the Prime Minister of Great Britain Keir Starmer.
As part of this initiative, London has committed to finance the production of a significant number of Ukrainian drones for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over a three-year period.
The Minister of Defense Rustem Umyerov noted following the results of the meeting:
“The program will enable UK technology companies to rapidly design and manufacture drones on a large scale.”
As stipulated in the agreement, all drones created within the framework of this project are intended exclusively for the Ukrainian military. After the end of the war, the parties plan to distribute drones according to national needs.
“This will help scale advanced technologies, increase drone production and integrate our defense industries,” Umerov stressed.
This joint project with Great Britain may become part of a wider initiative to export Ukrainian defense technologies, which was previously announced by President Zelensky. Within the framework of this program, the opening of factories abroad and the involvement of international partners in the financing of Ukrainian technological solutions are envisaged.
