HACC sentenced ex-MP Kryuchkov to 15 years in prison

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (SAC) of Ukraine sentenced the former chairman of the board of the Energomerezh company to 15 years in prison. About this reported Specialized anti-corruption prosecutor’s office (SAP).

“According to the court verdict, the ex-chairman of the board of JSC Energomerezha PJSC was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions for a period of three years with confiscation of all property.”, the message says.

The prosecutor’s office did not specify the convict’s last name, but the Anti-Corruption Center (CPC) clarified, which is about former People’s Deputy Dmytro Kryuchkov.

“The higher anti-corruption court passed a verdict against the former People’s Deputy Dmytro Kryuchkov in the case of his organization of the seizure of the funds of PJSC “Cherkasioblenergo” and PJSC “Zaporizhjiaoblenergo”. True, Kryuchkov himself went abroad at the beginning of last year and did not return. The reason for leaving was that he has five children.” – explained in the CPC.

The sentence also applies to the former acting head of the board of PJSC “Cherkasioblenergo”, who was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment with a ban on holding relevant positions for two years and confiscation of half of the property. The court additionally applied special confiscation in the amount of UAH 458 million and partially satisfied the civil claims for damages.
