Heads of regional MSECs turned out to be millionaires: rating of declarations published

On the eve of large-scale reforms of medical and social expert commissions (MSEK) in Ukraine, the analytical publication “Glavkom” conducted research of the declared wealth of the heads of regional centers of MSEK, finding that most of them are official millionaires. Out of 25 heads of regional MSEK, 18 declared millions of hryvnias in monetary assets, real estate and valuable luxury items.
Tetyana Krupa from the Khmelnytskyi regional MSEK became the leader among the rich managers. For the past year, she declared 661.5 thousand UAH salary, 166 thousand UAH pension and other income in the amount of more than 1.15 million UAH. Her bank accounts contain 678,000 UAH, 15,500 USD, 32,500 EUR, as well as 15.2 million UAH and 160,000 USD in cash. The Krupa family owns 16 houses and 40 plots of land with a total area of 33.5 hectares, as well as a 2019 Porsche Cayenne worth UAH 2.5 million.
Julia Danylenko, head of the Vinnytsia regional MSEK, came in second place. Her annual salary was UAH 221.5 thousand, but other incomes reached UAH 2.5 million. Among the assets is real estate in Vinnytsia, in particular, a house with an area of 196.7 square meters. m and four apartments, as well as a fleet of Tesla Model 3 and Mitsubishi SUVs.
The third place in the ranking was taken by Volodymyr Reshota from Lviv, who earned UAH 499 thousand in his position and declared almost UAH 4 million in other income, including UAH 120.2 thousand in pension. The family has three apartments in Lviv and a Toyota Venza car, as well as a recently purchased apartment worth UAH 3.9 million.
In addition to them, another 15 heads of MSEK, in particular from Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr and other regions, also own significant assets. The declared wealth indicates the high level of income of many MSEK managers, which caused public interest against the background of reforming the system and exposing possible abuses in the field of social benefits.
The disclosure of such fortunes prompted the authorities to review the work of the MSEK. The reform of the system, which is planned to be completed by the end of the year, is expected to replace the current commissions with the European model of disability assessment to avoid corruption risks and increase the transparency of the process.
