In Mykolaiv, the number of victims of the Russian missile attack has increased to 15

According to the regional prosecutor's office, four children were among the victims, and 8 people were taken to the hospital.

In Mykolaiv, a Russian airstrike on a children’s playground killed three people and injured 15 people. Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported, that among the injured were four children, and eight people were hospitalized. A 63-year-old woman, a man and a 12-year-old boy died.

For data of the regional prosecutor’s office, on July 19 at 5:13 p.m., Russian troops launched an airstrike on a residential quarter of the city. As a result of the attack, the children’s playground of the kindergarten in the courtyard of the high-rise buildings, as well as the apartment buildings, were damaged. It was preliminarily established that the occupiers used the Kh-59 missile.

At the scene, psychologists of the State Emergency Service provide the necessary assistance to the victims, and rescuers and police officers help the residents of the destroyed apartments to gain access to their apartments in order to collect the most necessary things. The State Emergency Service also deployed an emergency aid station.

The law enforcement officers have started a pre-trial investigation on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

In the evening of July 19, an explosion rang out in Mykolaiv, which was warned by the Air Force, informing about the launch of a missile in the direction of the city. Later it became known that the Russian occupiers attacked the sleeping area of ​​the city during the “rush hour”, when children were playing on the playgrounds and their parents were returning from work.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the shelling, noting the need to make new decisions to support the defense of Ukraine.
