Mykola Udyanskyi, Honorary Consul of Romania in Kharkiv and a well-known crypto businessman, made to the base of the “Mirotvorets” Center. This resource deals with the research of crimes against the national security of Ukraine.
“Udyanskyi, the honorary consul of Romania in Kharkiv, was brought to the “Peacemaker” base. My respect, because it is a blatant case. And the reason was frankly – the boxes of the Russian passport and the answers of the FMS of the Russian Federation about the authenticity of the docks. It turned out that he became consul around the time when the passport was still valid. And the expiration of the term does not mean an automatic exit from Russian citizenship,” – noted blogger Kyrylo Danylchenko.
Possible Russian citizenship, connections with Ramzan Kadyrov’s Akhmat club, as well as alleged participation in the laundering of illegally obtained funds are among the reasons. Udyanskyi is associated with criminal groups, in particular, OZ “Zalyutynski”. There are also suspicions that he used the Bitcoin Ultimatum cryptocurrency he created to launder money together with Russian Fuad Fatullaev.
According to “Mirotvorets”, Udyansky previously had a Russian passport, which raises questions about his citizenship and ties to the Russian Federation. The base’s materials indicate that he could become a citizen of Russia during the period when his passport was still valid. Also, the consul allegedly cooperated with criminal persons, including Yurii Poltavskyi, known for his criminal past and convictions for robbery.
