The state is losing billions due to the unregulated crypto market: Fedorov

The regulation of cryptocurrencies in Ukraine is delayed by conservative forces. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov in an interview with “Karpyak na Suspilny”.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation actively supports the creation of a legal framework for regulating transactions with digital assets. According to Fedorov, the Ministry of Statistics has already developed a corresponding draft law, but the implementation of the initiative is stalled due to the resistance of conservative forces.

The Ministry of Statistics has developed a draft law, but now, let’s say, more conservative forces do not allow this draft law to take place, so we have been living in complete shadow for 5 years“, said the minister.

Fedorov emphasized that due to the lack of regulation of cryptocurrencies, Ukraine is losing billions in the form of uncollected tax revenues. However, he expressed hope that the situation will change for the better in the near future.
